New Beginnings...

Happy 2016 everyone!

Last year was a sad depressing time for me losing my Mom.

Until recently I read this Healing Poem by Gwen Flowers

Grief

I had my own idea of grief.

I thought it was the sad time

that followed the death of someone you love

and you had to push through it

to get to the other side.

I am learning that there is no other side.

There is no pushing through anything, 

but rather, an absorption.

Adjustment and acceptance.

Grief is not something you complete, 

but rather endure.

Grief is not a task to finish and move on,

but an element of yourself, 

an alteration of your being,

A new way of seeing and

a new definition of self.

There are many new blessings in my life!

For me it's all about New Beginnings...

 New Family Member

New Studio

New Art

New Me

This year I did something different, no large Santa dolls,

our Christmas dolls this year are 

as some of my sweet customers refer to them as

precious and dainty.

These sweet Santa dolls & Snow Folks are 2015 Grimitives Original Dolls made with lots love, detail and charm. They are attached to a wood base. I painted the base with clay/chalk paint, sanded and aged. 

I will also have sweet tiny Snowgrimm ornies.

I've moved my studio into Mom's barn.

 I know she's looking down from heaven watching 

over me and guiding me with every stitch I take. 

As the sign outside her barn door says,

 I am crazy happy busy in the studio
